Hello People,
So today was our last day in service. I only stayed out in service till 12:30 because it was getting so hot! So Bryce and I jumped on the Trampoline some more.
We watched Little Rascals, such a cute movie! My favorite part was when the little boy said "Do you know what the number for 911 is?" and then he says "I don't know" haha so cute!
Greg took Bryce and I on the Lawn Mowers down to the Minnesota River that runs into the Mississippi River. When we got back I got to drive the Lawn Mower around the yard and even on the street. Apparently they are street legal? It was so much fun to drive that little thing.
Linda made a Ham dinner with Potato Scallops (YUM) and she brought home a cake from the bakery that was personalized for us, it said "You have truly warmed our hearts. We will miss you.". And then it had a picture of Minnesota on it. :)
After dinner Chatelaine got to drive the Lawn mower, she had alot of fun.
Well tomorrow will surely be the highlight of the trip for me! We get to go see Alex!!! OMG! There are no words to describe how much I miss her! No Joke, I seriously feel more at home in Minnesota than in any other state I have been to and that includes California.

Day 14: Fourth Day in Service
Hello,
So this is going to be kinda short because I actually almost forgot to write it tonight. I really just wanna sit on the couch read right now.
So today we went to the meeting for field service and then stayed out till12. We went to go visit Linda at her job which is at a bakery (i got picture of that but i cant post them). She gave us cookies that were delicious. Once we got back to the house I went up to the room where Grandma and Papa are sleeping and took a nap. I couldn't take a nap where I am sleeping because its in the living room. Later when it was time to go back in service Papa, Bryce, and I decided to stay home (we are weaklings). I was able to help Linda cook dinner, which is what I have been trying to do fro the past two night but she kept telling me no. SO she finally gave in and let me help out.
I bounced on the trampoline with Bryce then a few minutes ago I went out and laid down on the trampoline and watch the sunset :) So beautiful :)

Day 13: Third Day in Service
Hello,
So we had our third day in service today. This morning the Brother whose house we stayed at last night went out with us this morning so we took 2 different car groups. We only stayed out till 12, came back to the brother and sister's house for lunch. We then rested up and went back out again at 5 till 7.
By the way Greg and Linda have offered to let us stay at their house for the rest of our time here in Redwood Falls so that we wont have to go back to that boiling hot house.
For dinner Linda made a Roast, Green Beans, Mashed Potatoes, Pasta Salad, and Rolls. It was absolutely amazing. When Bryce told her how amazing it was she just said it was nothing and Bryce replied "Oh it was something!!!"
Oh by the way, Aunt Ginger, I got your email and I did take pictures today but I cannot post them because I am using Greg and Linda's computer which doesn't have an SD Card slot to upload pictures. So I wont be able to post pictures until I get to Alex's house on Sunday night.

Day 12: We See Jehovah's Hand in our Lives
Hello,
So you maybe asking 'that's a different tittle to her blog' but it is true and I will get to that later.
Today we all went in service again except Beth and Chatelaine, they stayed home because they weren't feeling good. Papa was on fire today he placed like 4 or 5 books and tons of magazines and also got a couple people agree to a Bible study. At lunch time we went back to the house (that has no AC) to eat lunch, then we went back out in service. At about 2:30 we decided to stay out till 3:30, then we went to the next house and gave up. hahah.
Now this is where we see Jehovah's hand in our lives. We got home at about 3:00 and we were all trying to cool down but there was no way it was happening. We all were taking cold showers but nothing seemed to work. Just as it was my turn to take a shower I saw a car pull up into our driveway but I was way to hot to care. Once I got out of the shower I find out that a couple from the Hall out here have come over to invite us over to their Air Conditioned House for dinner. What a blessing, but it doesn't stop there. After dinner they then invite us to spend the night in their Air Conditioned House. hahah. Can I say that enough? We can finally have a good nights rest in a reasonable temperatured house. Jehovah really does take care of us because before all that happened Beth and Grandma were both seriously about to pass out, so Jehovah really does provide.
Again I am sorry to report I have no picture from today, it was to hot to think about taking pictures. hahah.
So here I am at Greg and Linda's house. They are such a fun loving couple! Wish you all could meet them.

Day 11: First Day in Service
Hey Hey Hey!
So today was the first day out in service in unassigned teritory. We did Farm houses which was really cool. We talked to like 6 people and placed 3 Bible Teach Books.
We are attending the Redwood Falls Congergation and the Meeting was tonight. It was great seeing everyone from last year. I met this one girl Haley who is my age. Funny thing is that we are both 16, both 5'2, and both have a size 6 foot. Bryce says she is the Minnesota version of Myranda.
Oh so I am sleeping in a Recliner Chair that lays competely flat but whats really funny is if I lift my head while sleeping the chair returns me to upright postion. So that kinda gets annoying but it is still pretty comfy.
Well sorry to say I didnt take any pictures today so I have nothing for you to look at other than my boring words. HAHA
Off to bed ... Nighty Night :)

Day 10: Elkhart, IN - Redwood Falls, MN
Hello People,
Well here we are Redwood Falls Minnesota in our little house a Brother is letting us stay in. Its very cute and clean. The Lamberts get a whole room to themselves, Bryce and I have the living room, and Grandma and Grandpa get the Bedroom.
We had a long day in the car again but now that we are here for 5 days it is such a relief. Whats really funny is that we laugh in that car all day long but no one remebers what was funny! I think we are all finally loosing our minds!
For lunch we went to Denny's and it looked like an old 50's dinner which was really cool. Outside the dinner were life size Statues of Elvis, The Blues Brothers, and Marelen Monroe. So we took pictures with them (which I will post).
Once we got to the House we alo sat down and talked about the Field Service arrangments for the morning and then ate dinner.
Well thats about all folks, here are the pictures! (I would upload more but it is taking to long to upload them)

Day 9: Pinebush, NY - Elkhart, IN
Hello,
So this is going to be very short becasue I got feel good and I am tired.
We left New York this morning :( I barely slept last night, being the reason I am so tired.
Nothing really exciting happened today, everyone is pretty out of it and not the Happiest people.

Day 8: Metropolitain Museum of Art (MET)
Heyy!
So this morning we got up early so we could do some sight seeing before heading to the Met. We parked the car and Grandma and Grandpa went to Central Park while Beth, Bryan, Chatelaine, Bryce and Myeslf went to do the tourist things. We walked to 77th Street to get on the Subway to head to Times Sqare. The Subway was a cool experince, we ended up taking directions on what Subway to get on from a small little Chinese woman, but we eventually got there. We went into the M&M store which is HUGE! It's a whole store dedicated to Chocolate Candies and I didn't get any thing!!! Shocking I know!
We then walked to Saks 5th Ave becasue Chatelaine wanted to see it. We left pretty quickly becasue you get bored in a Shop full of stuff you can't afford. After that we got Hot Dogs from a street vendor, which didn't taste good but hey I ate a New York Hot Dog!!! Wooo Whoo! Chatelaine then wanted to go to Tiffany's. I didn't even go in, Bryce, Beth and Me went to FAO Shwarts! It was huge and there were toys everywhere!!! When we left there we then hailed a Taxi Cab and went to the Met to then wait for our tour to start.
Our tour guide's name was Ernie Cammacho, he was funny and gave a very insightful tour. The tour was 3 hours long and my feet were killing me but it was deffinatly worth it.
When we got out of the Met and all got back in th Van Bryan's phone died so he had to use Bryce's GPS until his phone charged a little. Once his phone was working again Bryan was comparing the directions and he then said "Sally and Jane are arguing over which way to go" hahah it was so funny. I then fell asleep in the car until we got to the diner across the street from our hotel. I got Pancakes, Sausage, and Eggs. YUM!!!
Now here I am Sitting at the desk inour room filling you in on the Day.

Day 7: Patterson Bethel
Good Evening,
So we went to Paterson today and Grandma got to see her very close friend from Pasedena Joelynn Medows. You should have seen the looks on their faces!!! They were both so excited to see eachother even though I got the first hug!!! hehe ... We had plans to see her and her Husband but sadly he was in California taking care of his Mom through surgrey so we just missed him because he gets back to Patterson tonight.
We left Bossert this morning, we were all so sad to leave. It definalty had a very homey feel to it. Plus the view from our room was AMAZING to say the least. We left Bossert at 10am and were rushing to get to Patterson so we wouldn't miss lunch. We made it literally just in time! We sat at our seats and 20 seconds later said the prayer. We ate Turkey with Gravy and Crandberry Sauce, Broccli, Stuffing, Salad, and for dinner Sweet Potato Pie. I never knew that Sweet Potato Pie tasted exactly like Pumkin Pie, if I knew I would have ate it a long time ago!!! No one tells me these important facts of life.
After lunch Joelynn showed us the Translation Department where she works and then Writing Corecpondence where her Husband Randy Medows works. Then beacause of the job she has she isn't trained to give tours so she dropped us back off at the Lobby and then got assigned a tour guide for the real tour. Her name was Becky Castteven, she was so sweet and gave us a great tour and answered all of our questions thourghly. I was able to get her email so hopefully I will be able to keep in touch.
From Patterson we drove to our Hotel in Pinebush (which we just founf out is the UFO Capital of New York). We are staying at a Hotel owned by a Brother and Sister. The gift shop in the Hotel is all Theocratic stuff for service and meetings. Really pricy but really cool.
Well thats all I have for today. I will post pictures from today :) Also upon request I will be posting more Fire Truck Pictures.

Day 6: Brooklyn Bethel
Hello,
Today we went to Brooklyn Bethel. My grandparents have friends there so they gave us a private tour which lasted 4 hours!!! We had lunch and dinner at bethel and both meals were very good :)

Earlier this week my Grandpa in Texas told me to ask for his friend Terry Lafferty when I get there. So I did and I was able to meet him :) He showed me and picture of them when they were young.
Can you guess which one is Grandpa?
Anyway we had alot of fun! Only thing is I couldn't feel my feet after the tour I was in so much pain!
Jeff and Darlen were the couple who gave us the tour and at the end she gave us Bethel Stationary and Postcards :) Speaking of postcards when we got back to the Hotel I basiclly forced Papa to take me to the Convenience store across the street so I could by postcards but it then turns out they dont sell them, WHATS UP WITH THAT!!!!

Day 5: Newburgh, NY - Brooklyn, NY
Hello my Pretty People,
We are now in the Bossert in New York!!!! Absoulutley stunning. This morning we were able to have a fantastic tour by our guide Anita. She was originally from Belgium. Seeing Wallkill was so spiritaly uplifting. Just a heads up Bossert does not have WiFi so I am using one of their computers to post this so I am unable at this time to post photos.
While in Wallkill we got to see a friend from Pasedina, who was in my Aunt and Uncle's Congergation. His name is Tom and he works in the welding department and showed us a little around there. After seeing Tom we were then introduced to Anita's husband Nathen. He works in transportaion and showed us the Watchtower Fire Department. Bryce got to wear a Fire jacket and Helmet and me just a helmet. Then Papa and Grandma got to do it as well. So much fun!!! I hope to be able to keep in contact with them.
Tommorrow we are going to go to the Brooklyn Bethel and have lunch with my Grandparents old friends from Los Angels whom I have never met, but apparently they have heard alot about me.
After arriving at the Bossert we had to sit and wait for the boys to go park the van before we checked in. While waiting we were able to talk to an attendent who was working here for the night. He was from England and had the most beautiful accent I have ever heard.
For dinner we went across the street to a resturant called Heights Cafe and were able to get a 15% off deal becasue we were Jehovah's Wittnesses. I ordered Chicken Sceewres and they were prefectly moist and seasoned ... YUM!! Chatelaine ordered Chedder Cheese and Broccli Soup, which again was delious!!!
Now here we are sitting in the Lobby writing my blog, just Chatelaine and me. Bryce is exporing the Hotel ... Aprently he says the 13th floor and the basement are scary. hahah such a 14 year old boy!!! (btw he turns 14 on the 29th)
Well its now time for bed so, Nighty Night. Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Day 4: South Bend, IN - Newburgh, NY
Hey,
We finally made it to New York. Sure we had a few bumps in the road but sooo worth it. We are going to Walkil tommorow, super excited to see all of it. After the tour we then get to check in at the Bosert.
We left South Bend this morning around 9 and I then slept for 2 hours in the car. Then we had out first stop some where in Ohio. By the way I LOVE rest stops in Ohio! At each stop there is a Gas Station, Resteraunt and Coffee Shops. AMAZING!!!!
Not very many exciting things happened today so this is going to end up being a short post.
We drove over the Mississippi River today which was really pretty sadly I didn't get a good picture in time.
Our last Bathroom break was just after we got into New York and we pulled into a rest stop where the Bathrooms were unacsessable. So therefore they had Porta-Potties. So gross!!! We Lysoled those things to death!!! Good thing Beth carries around Lysol, Wipes, and Hand Sanitizer.
We were about 20 minutes from the Hotel when Bryce starts using this creepy voice telling Scary Stories ahhaha it was creepy!!
Any way now we are at the Hotel in New York and dont have to leave till 11 tommorrow :) I didn't take very many pictures today, but here is what I got.

Day 3: Lincoiln, NE - South Bend, IN
Hello,
This morning Papa and Bryan woke up at 7:30 to go to the Tire store to get all new tires on the Van. While they did that we all got to ACTUALLY got to sleep in!!! Crazy right!!! So I slept till about 8:30, till Bryce decided to Fart in my direction, WHAT A JOY!!! NOT!!! So I then woke up and walked to the Hotel office to get Breakfast. I had a bowl of Frootloops and a tiny cute little Pastry thing. Once Papa and Bryan got back from the Tire place we packed up and left.
We drove for about a hour to a McDonald's in Omaha to see Bryan's Aunt and Uncle. They were a super sweet couple. We didn't stay for long becasue we still had alot of drivng to do, so we said our good-byes.
Our original plan was to drive to Toledo, OH now that didn't happen becasue of all the other crazy stuff we have encountered. So thats how we ended up in South Bend.
For dinner we stopped of a rest stop that had a little park. This park had a Seasaw, yes you read right a Seasaw and a tire swing. We had fun there!
LATEST ON THE CLOSE TO DEATH STORIES: Then back on the road for our last 3 1/2 hour stretch. Once we got into Indiana we were driving along side a huge Semi who then decided to change lanes but apparently didn't see us so he was inches away from crushing us. We wrote down all the info in the Truck and Beth will be complaining.
The freeway we were on was a Toll Road so when we got off the freeway Papa had to stick the ticket into the machine so it would tell us how much to pay. As all of you know he is no good with electronics so it was really funny trying to watch it. Eventually Bryan had to get out of the car and walk around to do it for him. While all this was happening the cars were piling up behind us and one guy tried to leave. Beth then said "Hey they should know this was gonna take long! We have a California lisence plate" to funny!
Now to the Hotel right? Well yes but not before we circle every parking lot trying to get to our hotel becasue the streets were blocked off. Again HILARIOUS!!!
Well now here we are, safe and sound and still trucking along. We hope to get to New York tommorrw night so we will see if that happens. In the mean time here are the pictures for today ;)

Day 2: Grand JCT, CO - Lincolin, NE
People!!!!
Well we had a rather eventful day!
We woke up at 5am planning to leave the hotel at 6am. Well that didn't techinally happen, we didn't really get on the road till about 7:15. The reason for this is becasue we stopped off at Starbucks right after leaving the Hotel. The Starbuck was inside a City Market so apparently they don't know how to make Coffee so no one like what they got. We then went to McDonald's and got breakfast and then we were off.
The first stop was about 2 1/2 hours after we left and it was a t a rest stop with a fantastic iew of the Colorado River, which I actually got to walk in! I was sooooo cold I couldn't feel my toes!!! But it was beautiful.
So we had a near death experince on the freeway, we were turning a corner and right as we turn that corner there is a STOPPED Semi-Truck. We got so cloe to hitting hat truck, Beth said we were less than a fot away from it. Papa very calmy edged his way passed the truck, good thing he didn't slam on his brakes or else we would have been rear ended and sandwiched between the semi and the car. So that pretty much freaked Grandma out completely, but nothing happened so we are all good :)
Around lunch time we stopped at a Park and ate lunch that Beth prepared. I had Chicken Salad on top of Baby Spinach with a yummy side of Applesauce. (I Love Applesauce)
Here comes the next crazy experince. So Papa finally decided to let someone else drive, so Bryan took over. Within about 30 minutes Beth was finally about to fall asleep, Grandma was listening to Meeting, and the rest of us were in our own little worlds. Then BOOM!!!!!!! The tire blew!!! The tred completly came off and it was crazy! Good thing Grandma had Noise Canceling Head Phones on otherwise she would have flipped. So we pulled off the next exit and the Guys changed the tire, pretty quickly actually. Then we were back on the road as if nothing happened.
For dinner we had DQ and I finally got my Blizzard that I have been wanting since I saw the fisrt DQ on the long drives.
Well now here we are :) Lincolin Nebraska :) Safe and Sound and well ... TIRED!!!! Good thing though we dont have to wake up early in the morning becasue Papa and Bryan are going to get all the Tires on the van replaced around 9am (which is like 7am Cali time). Sleeping in is so fantastic :)
